This sweet, salty, and crunchy popcorn mix combines white chocolate, candy corn, and salted peanuts for an irresistible treat that comes together in under 15 minutes. Perfect for movie nights, Halloween parties, or any time you need a quick and delicious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels or one standard bag of microwave popcorn)
  • 1 1/2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup salted peanuts (optional, or substitute with broken pretzel sticks for nut-free)
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles or jimmies (optional)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Pop 10 cups of popcorn using your preferred method. Spread on the baking sheet and remove any unpopped kernels.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the popped popcorn, candy corn, and salted peanuts (if using). Toss gently to distribute.
  4. Place the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Fold gently with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
  6. Immediately transfer the coated mixture to the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle with festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  7. Let the popcorn mix set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes, or until the white chocolate is firm. (For faster setting, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.)
  8. Once set, break the mixture into chunks with your hands. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, use plain or lightly salted popcorn—avoid heavily buttered varieties. Fresh candy corn that is still soft yields the best texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Do not refrigerate. If popcorn loses crunch, re-crisp in a 300°F oven for 5 minutes.
