This creamy, savory dip features a fun spiderweb design on top, making it the star of any Halloween party or gathering. It’s quick, easy, and made with simple ingredients for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed completely dry
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream (for spiderweb design)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Thaw frozen spinach according to package directions. Place in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible until almost dry (about 1/2 cup).
  3. Drain artichoke hearts and chop into pea-sized pieces.
  4. If cream cheese is cold, microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften (do not melt).
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Scrape down sides.
  6. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix on low speed until combined, about 30 seconds.
  7. Fold in squeezed spinach, chopped artichokes, mozzarella, and Parmesan until evenly distributed.
  8. Spoon mixture into a greased 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  9. Place extra 2 tablespoons sour cream in a small zip-top bag, snip off a tiny corner. Pipe a small dot in the center of the dip, then pipe a circle about 1 inch from the edge, and another circle about 2 inches from the edge. Using a toothpick or knife tip, drag lines from the center dot outward through the circles to create a web pattern. Wipe toothpick clean between each line.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly around edges and lightly golden on top. The spiderweb should still be visible.
  11. Let dip cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, bread cubes, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

Squeeze spinach thoroughly to prevent watery dip. Room temperature ingredients ensure smooth texture. Do not overbake; dip is done when bubbly and edges just start to brown. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Can be assembled up to 24 hours ahead (without spiderweb) and refrigerated.
