A quick and easy sheet pan dinner featuring salmon fillets glazed with a sticky honey garlic sauce and roasted broccoli, perfect for a fuss-free, flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each), skin-on for crispy texture
  • 3 tablespoons honey (raw or organic preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (optional)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups / 300 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Spread evenly on one side of a sheet pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, grated ginger, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and glossy.
  4. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them skin-side down on the empty half of the sheet pan, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Spoon or brush the honey garlic glaze generously over each salmon fillet, coating tops and sides. Reserve some glaze for basting.
  6. Roast in the oven for 12 minutes. At the 6-minute mark, remove the pan and baste the salmon with the reserved glaze.
  7. Check for doneness: salmon should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Broccoli should be tender with crispy edges.
  8. Transfer salmon and broccoli to plates, spoon any pan juices over the top, and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat salmon dry before glazing for crisp skin and better glaze adherence. Roast at high heat (425°F) to caramelize glaze and crisp broccoli. Baste salmon halfway through cooking for a shiny, flavorful crust. If broccoli browns too fast, tent salmon with foil. Save a lemon wedge for serving to brighten flavors. For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos.
